About Me

My proofreading days date way back to my teenage years in high school.  My dad would send out emails, newsletters, and training pamphlets on a regular basis for his job. Before he sent any of them out, I proofread them. I got out my red pen and marked away. I really enjoyed it! Fast-forward a few years; I have branched out to reach my goal to be a freelance proofreader. I am a mom of two and work from home so I can be available for my kids as well. Technology has made this achievable for me. Through that, I want to help make your goals achievable for you. I can help you put the finishing touches on anything you have written so your time can be focused on making your goals possible.

I have always had a keen attention to detail and could spot grammar errors everywhere, even on menus! When I chose to make a career out of proofreading, I wanted to make sure to take the extra step and get certified. I have taken the online course, Proofread Anywhere. (Certification can be viewed upon request.) This has provided me with the knowledge and practice to stay up-to-date in current guidelines.

I am the most familiar with The Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS). Though, I am willing to learn and work with the style that best fits your preference.
